  14. Apparently, Intel says it will replace faulty Petium chips if the user 
  15. can prove that he/she/it has encountered the bug.  Is this going to be 
  16. the official policy?  I don't know, I just heard it on N.P.R., along with 
  17. news that IBM isn't going to make Pentium computers (boo hoo) and that 
  18. the FDA wants all companies that do medical testing of any kind to find 
  19. out if any of their tests were done on Pentiums.

  21.  If the policy will be implemented, there's an easy way to "prove" that 
  22. there is a problem, just make an Excel spreadsheet with bad math on it.  
  23. Now again, I'm only guessing, but that seems to make sense, no?  I 
  24. downloaded an Excel spreadsheet that claims to contain calculations that 
  25. choke that chip, and if anyone wants it, email me and I'll put it in my 
  26. anon FTP dirctory...
